Le Chai d’Émilien
The Fournel family has tended vineyards in Sussargues for many years. Situated between Castries and Sussargues, the vines benefit from excellent terroir, with most plots falling within the Languedoc and Grés de Montpellier appellations.
Over the years, each generation has nurtured and developed the estate, adapting to its surroundings with passion and skill. Today, Émilien is writing the next chapter by making and bottling his own wines, marking the birth of Le Chai d’Émilien. With support from his wife Ophélie, who manages sales, he brings out the best in these vineyards, some of which are more than 20 years old. The estate’s wines reflect this family terroir, carefully tended over generations.

Tasting notes: La robe de ce vin rouge est sombre aux reflets violines. Le nez est encore marqué par l’élevage mais on distingue déjà les notes de confiture de mûre, l’encre, la violette, des notes fumées et grillées rehaussées par un final marqué par l’eucalyptus qui apporte beaucoup de fraicheur. S’exprimera pleinement cet automne et pendant 5-6 ans. Au-delà, le vin changera de style* mais peut encore se bonifier s’il est bien conservé.
